  1. that is one of the perks of being a US citizen, you don't need a visa. a round trip ticket is all you need provided you stay in the Philippines within the alloted 21 days and 90 days for japan.

if you want to stay beyond those days, then you have to apply for a visa.

  2. passport is the only requirement.

  3. "Tuan" is correct.  you can use the page below to check on entry requirements for any country for an American.

  4. You need a passport and a visa, but you get a visa at the boarder in both countries so you don't need to get them prior to departure.

  5. You don't need a visa to travel in Japan in 90 days. You can also stay for 21 days in the Phillipines. In order to enjoy this visa exemption, you should have an air ticket as a proof of leaving those countries on time.

    Have fun!

  6. You just need you passport and it must be valid for the next 6 months.

You get 3 weeks in each place on a tourist visa before you will need an extension.
