Okay so i'm sixteen and my older cousin is getting married. We're wicked close so she wants me in her wedding. Only problem though is that she only wants me and no other cousins. So she's making me a junior bridesmaid to make everyone happy. And i'm going to be with her "stepson" only problem is he's 4 or 5 yrs younger! so i'll be almost 17 going down the aisle with a 13yr! what do i do?

  1. It's not about you on this day.  It will be remembered, however, just how cool a person you can be by playing along.  Don't be insulting by freaking out over such trivial matters.

  2. It her wedding, not urs so stop making things all about and just do it. What is it gunna take out of u? And besides u r open to flirt with anyone u choose. So just do it and be happy. Its just for a little while.

  3. you could just do what your cousins wants to make her happy on her day. it's not that bad it will only be a few mins walking down the aisle after that you don't have to worry about him. and you can enjoy  the wedding and the party

  4. Just go with it. It's not your dating the kid, it's just a walk..

  5. There's nothing wrong with you being paired with him.

  6. just do it, it will make your cousin happy its her day

  7. I  can see this  seems  a  bit  off to  you.  Also  consider  how  he  may  feel.  That  age  is  extrememly  self  conscious.  It  is  only  for  a  couple  minuents,  believe  me  most  eyes  are  on  the  bride  and  groom,  not  the  maids and  escorts.  Smile,  enjoy  the  day.

  8. I would feel honored to be the bridesmaid. It is her wedding, so enjoy it!

  9. you just have to do it.  sometimes we have to do things that we dont want to do.

  10. just do it...it will make her happy and you will be glad you did..

  11. That doesn't really matter.  All you are doing is walking down the isle with the boy.

  12. You have been given a great honour accept it and be mature about it and enjoy the day

  13. Thats completely fine what ur cousin wants to do. I am getting married in 7 weeks & my fiance's 12 yr. old sister is my jr. bm & she's walking down w/ her 23 year old cousin thats a groomsmen. It will work out fine. Plus you are only walking down with this 13 yr. old & maybe dancing with him at the reception, and thats it! No big deal. Good luck!

  14. Sometimes that happens and can't be helped.  It is so hard to organise a bridal party and have people coupled with others of the same age group.  If you are worried that people will laugh, don't because they know it wasn't your choice.  Later on the reception party you can separate and find people your own age to talk to, it is just for the important parts of the wedding like ceremony and photos.

  15. It's ok. I''m gonna have a 10 year old ring bearer walking beside a 2 year old flower girl.

  16. It's no big deal. It's family and that's how it works out. It will only be a few minutes out of your life but it is the bride's big moment. Just go along with it to make her happy.

  17. :)  You'll be fine.

  18. I see no issue with this.

at my wedding, My brother walked down the aisle with my 9 year old cousin and he was 15.

it's just a walk and people won't be paying all that much attention. the bride and groom will be the main focus.

enjoy the wedding and have fun!!

  19. This is not a problem.

At sixteen/seventeen you should be mature enough to walk down the aisle with whoever they pair you with.

  20. Sometimes for the people we love, we do embarrassing stuff.. your not marrying him!!! haha

  21. its not like your actually going on a date with the kid

and its not your day to look good and shine its your cousins

and if your as close as you say you should do it

it will make her veryyy happy and she'll do something for you someday

  22. its just a walk down the aisle, its not a big deal!

  23. Its not a big deal and its only one day.. if you care about her you will do it for HER it is her one and only day she will remember it for the rest of her life....
