Question:

I'm a commuter and I don't really party?

I'm just starting college now. I commute to a school pretty close by. I luckily have some friends already, that I met at orientation, who live on campus. However, I'm kind of worried because I don't really drink (or at least I didn't in high school). Am I doomed to have no fun in college or are there ways for me to meet people and have a good time?

  1. Contrary to popular belief, college is not about drinking. I drink, but I have never gotten drunk with my friends from school. College is about learning and you will find that most people are serious about it. In fact, my main gripe with incoming freshman is that they don't take it seriously.

    If you really want to have fun on campus, there are usually plenty of student organizations that you can join, based on your interests or your academic progress.  


  2. You don't have to do what other people are doing. Be yourself. You don't have to drink to fit in. (:
