  1. you are a contract worker, having income to a level that you need to file tax returns. right.

I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU NEED INSURANCE POLICY TO AVAIL INCOME TAX BENEFITS. YOU CAN TAKE LIMITED PAYMENT POLICIES   OF "ENDOWMENT",  "MONEY BACK" TYPES FOR A GUARANTEED RETURN OF MONEY, AS YOUR INCOME IS LIKELY TO BE VARYING.

IF YOU ARE SURE OF SUSTAINING YOUR INCOME FOR A CERTAIN NUMBER OF  YEARS, YOU CAN ENSURE THAT YOU CAN HAVE ARRANGEMENT TO ENSURE REGULAR RETURN OF BENEFITS WHEN YOU NEED IT.

IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD HIGH PREMIUM THEN YOU CAN GO FOR 'TERM INSURANCE' WHICH WILL NOT GIVE YOU ANY MATURITY BENEFIT.

  2. Do not take it for granted, use your own head to make the judgement. Here is a good resource I have tried.

  3. I never heard of needing insurance before you can file your taxes.  I think that you're confused about this.  Go back to the tax preparer and ask for clarification.
