Question:

I'm a dancer but I want to be a gymnast too... I think its too late to start but anything I can do at home?

I've been in dance since I was 4, and a competitive dancer since I was 9... I'm 13 now, and I would really like to be a gymnast but I know it's too late to start, or if I did I would be with 5 year olds. My question basicly is... is there anything I can do at home to make my back more flexible, I can do a backbend but it's not always so great. Also, I want to try to do a back walkover... I can lift up my leg far when im in a bridge I'm just scared to kickover.. any tips? Thanks!!!!

  1. i dont think its to late you might have to do rhtymic stuff until you get really good at the tumbling and stuff..........


  2. HEY, IM 13 TO. OF CORSE U CAN DO THINGS AT HOME. IM A CHEERLEADER. TO MAKE UR BACK BEND MORE....BENDY, U CANSIT IN A STRADDLE SPLIT AND SPRED UR LEGS AS FAR AND THEY CAN GO,THEN REACH AND REACH AND REACH SOME MORE AND HAVE UR FRIEND SISTER OR BROTHER TO PUSH DOWN UNTIL U CAN BEAR IT. AND U HAVE NO REASON TO BE SCARED TO KICK UR LEG OVER, U HAVE TO TRUST UR SELF, IF U CANT TRUST UR SELF THAN U CANT TRULY TRUST OTHERS (I GOT THAT OFF DR. PHIL) WHEN UR IN UR BACK BEND, HAVE UR FRIEND OR SUM ONE TO CAREFULLY WALK UR LEGS OVER. AND REMEMBER TO KICK OFF THE GROUND.
