I'm a dj and I want to know......?

I work for an idependant Entertainment Company and I was wondering how much an hour am I supposed to be getting? including loading in and packing up total hours for today was 12??? I only earnt $250 aus does this sound right?? or should i be putting my hand out for a pay rise?

It kinda depends on how big the gigs and the company is. How much are they getting for the jobs. If your hot then you should be worth more but what if the company is low key. Go job hunting and see what people are getting paid. Check in other cities that there are a lot of places where they could use your talents and then maybe you'll see some new oppourtunities.

well thats just a tad over 10 an hour, ring up some others in the phone book and ask them what they charge.

ring up 5 at least and do an average or median estimate.
