  1. Not to belittle you, but,if you are an experienced surfer, you should know what type board suits your size and style. at 6'2", you want aboard about the same, maybe a bit shorter, if you're fast. Curren and Slater both ride thrusters, and I believe Curren rides a swallow-tail. It gives a little tighter turning, but frees the board up a lot. Talk to whoever is going to shape it for you, a good shaper will work with you all the way. Where you do most of you're surfing, the type of break it is, determines what kind of rocker you want built in to your board.

  2. Gotta agree with Larry up there, if you are experienced you should already know this. I do.

I have a Surftech version of one of Kelly's short boards from Al Merrick, a 6'2" diamond tail.  That's what Kelly likes for transitioning off the lip and getting sharper turns.

  3. i agree with larry too. wow u must not know ur boards i would say u need a 6'5"-6'8" and have it around 18in wide and 3in thick

or u can try for a longer one 7'ish but keep other dimensions the same

    i have a 6'0" $3000 custom and its amazing

  4. ok.  You want a 6'2-6'7 legnth, hmm....width around 20-22inches and thickness 2 inches maaaayyyybbbeee 2 and a half at most.  Too thick and no more style.  Hope this helps.

And Slater and Curren would know their board dimensions.
