  1. I'm also a sprinter and I run cross country. When you start cross country it will definitly feel harder than running sprints, but when you get deeper into the season you'll get used to it.  A lot of sprinters I know that don't do cross country assume that its impossible, but its difficulty is not that much different from sprinting. I know of many distance runners that sprinting extremely difficult.

  2. its hard but you have to train for it a lil different and learn to pace not go all out. its fun to do if you like running. My wife sprints during season but does cross during off and it helps her with her sprinting..

  3. i do cross country as well, but i cannot sprint for my life haha. if you train over the summer with long runs, etc you should be fine when the season comes around. if your coach has given you any guidelines about how to train, follow that as well. my coach gave us all a calendar with suggested mileage and we're supposed to follow that. good luck!

  4. it will help u.... if you are a sprint you wont see it in the 100m dash but if you run tha 200 and 400 then it will give you more stamina and endurance to push yourself harder and faster when people are dying out in those last 50 meters... and as a sprinter in the 200 you know that if you are going all out that 50 meters at the end are the hardest so yes it will help..... if you dont want to do it still stay active dont just dont do anything until the season start back up cuz u will be taking weeks where you could get better to get back where you were last year

  5. umm....... riddle me this if u can sprint fast why the **** would u do cross country dumb move im disappointed in u
