I went to a freshman orientation and I all by myself the whole time because 3 of my friends didn't come my only friends I have.

And I was siting by myself and no body wanted to sit with me or talk to in the freshman orientation we while all the gym to get our schedules.

I am found out that I won't be having any classes my my 3 friends and I won't be having lunch with them also.

Will I make friends? Will I have someone to talk to? Will I have someone to sit with at lunch? I'm so scared and I'm upset that I feel really bad about self. And since lots of people saw me by myself they all think I have no friends and its annoying and sad.

Please help me

  1. If you play sports you'll make friends very easily unless you're a brat. If you don't, just talk to people and hold a nice conversation.

  2. take the first step and introduce yourself, join a group that your interested in,try something new you might surprise yourself

  3. Without writing too long of a response, I can assure you that you'll make friends.  I'm still friends with people I met in middle school (even though we don't have that many classes together), but I also made plenty of new friends.  I hated my first day of high school, but I'm a senior this year and love school.  Things will work out.  Orientation isn't a good reflection of what school is going to be like.  You'll all be underclassmen, intimidated by upperclassmen, wanting to make new friends, and desiring an enjoyable high school experience.  Don't stress about it.

  4. Just be yourself and be sociable. Friends will come naturally.

  5. sometimes i feel the same way!  it's okay to think that.  I know clubs seem like they are for nerds, but alot of them actually have cool/neat ppl in them!  so it is necessary to join them.  If you play a sport, JOIN THE TEAM!!  that is very important, the people on the team will want to be friends with you because they want the team to get along.

But really, you have to take the first step, don't get discouraged because nobody comes up and talks to you, you have to go talk to people!  Take the plunge and ask people if you can sit by them or with them at lunch.  Tell them that you like their shirt or their hair is really cute, people like to be around people who make them feel good about themselves, right?  right.
