I'm moving to an apartment that has hook-ups for a stackable washer/dryer, but I would like to use my stand-alone dryer, but the wall connection is too far from my dryer. What's the longest gas connector that I can use? The longest I've seen in stores is 5', but I need something longer. Can I use some type of adapter (female/male) to connect two 5' connectors, so that it will reach? And if so, is it safe???? Help! Please!! I don't want to part with my washer and dryer!! :-)

  1. Gabby is correct

Gas is nothing to mess with if you dont know what you're doing

ask your apt manager what or who he would recommend

  2. No you cannot two connectors together, they are not made 8 feet long for safety and code reasons. You should have that someone to run enough black pipe for gas as needed and then use 5' connector. Please be care full.

  3. Get a pro to do this this could be dangerous if done incorrectly!
