  1. All "great" people receive negative comments from others, such as Bill Clinton and George W Bush :)

Show your respect to your coach, and be as dedicated as you can to your team... what else can you do?

  2. Wow... I was basically in this exact situation, except I was friends with the captain... The only thing you can do is work hard and show the coach you are trying... I wasn't getting much playing time, but I worked hard and she moved me to libero, one of the most demanding positions. Just shake everything bad she says to you off, but learn from them.  I learned soooooooo much from listening, and remember... this is only one season and next year will be better, GOOD LUCK!!! Stay strong and aggressive. Lots of times the reason the coach may pick on you is really because she knows you are better and she has faith in you... she is just pushing you to achieve your goals.

  3. Dont take it too personal.. If everyone else says your good that should tell you something. But if the Coach keeps telling you negative feedback like You could of spiked the ball a little harder. The coach wants you to become a better player and it drives you to achieve more..

  4. Girlie, don't take it personal... You know that you are a good player and so does everyone else, so keep doing what you do :) I once heard that if a coach is riding you hard, that means they see potential and want you to get better, if the coach doesn't yell at you then you should worry.  Coach is not going to waste her time or voice on ya if you are lazy or suck :) hope it helps

  5. I know exactly where you are. But if you are a fantastic player, then the coach is telling you all these things because he/she wants you to get better. So do exactly like he/she tells you. Ignoring his/her advice will not work. And kiss-up. That's probably how the current captain got to be that way, and if you act like you love everyone, you'll get to play more.

  6. He doesn't want you to start to become conceited and lose focus on continuing to improve. He wants you to go out and prove to other teams how good you are.

I know some players who have become full of themselves because many others have told them they are good. Sounds like your coach doesn't want this happening to you.

  7. Coaches suck and don't play everyone.  Just swallow their bull and be the best dang playa you can be.  In the end, the coach don't matter anyway - the way you hit that ball does!

  8. There are a few ways to go about this.

    1)  Sadly some coaches are truly biased towards some players.  This is very unfair and not right, but it does happen some times.  And this could happen for many reasons, so don't take it personally.     (These coaches usually don't last long)

    2)  Your coach sees potential in you.  And is simply trying to push you harder than the rest.  This works for some people.  They get mad, or work well off of this pressure, and it truly helps them develop their game to their greatest ability.  But there are some players that respond well to this kind of motivation.  If it's really bothering you, and it's just making you get worse, here's what you should do.   Go up to your coach, and just pour your heart out.  Let your coach know that you feel like you're giving it all that you have, and that when your coach gets on you in a negative way it doesn't help, it's only making you worse.  Work with your coach.

If you have a good coach, they will most likely respond to that by giving you a more constructive feedback. And you should develop a much better relationship.  Coaches LOVE when players come to them for help, or with problems.  It shows commitment, leadership, and that love for the game and want to get better.

  9. all coaches are like that they do it to push you and make you better i mean really have you ever seen a football coach or basketball coach been like "its okay baby youll do better next time" "i dont care you did your best even though you missed 25 shots" dont take it personal she/he is just trying to make you better

  10. she is prob just jealous of how you play lol

    dont take it personal

    youre probably really good

  11. This happens to me all the time...everyone is like Oh MY GOSH!ur going to get a scholarship u are so good! and they tell me all these great things. The coach knows that ur so good so he's going to star being hard on u becasue when u mess up he knows u can do way better than that. belive me ur coach is thinkin ' man this girl is good. I expect her to give 110% out there' oh yeah and about the girl. The on captian on our team is my worst enemy! but hey the coach proboley dosen't think shes going to go that far in the future in vball so hes giving her an easy time. hey i hope ur team does great this season!

  12. hun all i can say is good luck.

the coatch wither yells at you becasue you suck (obviously not) or because she thinks that oyu are good. all i can say is that for like the next few days i think that you need to start playing hard er than usual and i think that you may need to work the hardest you ever had and if your coatch doesnt recognize ti then well i dont know what to say.

  13. You're not doing anything wrong... coaches always try to be hard on you so that you can continue to improve what you're already good at!!! Just think of it as helping and improving you!!!!

  14. sometimes the way a coach expresses things to a player or coaches a player maycome off negative, but they might be just trying to push you to become a better player. my coach always yelled at the players that he thought were worth his time, so if your coach is yelling at you, at lest they are pying attention t what you are doing.
