im a green card holder, how long should i wait for me to be able to pettition my gf? ..what about the fiance visa? how long should i wait for me to get her with this visa?

  2. Vanessa is right. As a green card holder, you can't petition a fiancee. If you do marry her, it will take 5 years once you file the petition under the F2a category before she'll be able to use it.

  3. you have to marry her. as a green card holder, you can only petition your wife and your kids.

    it takes about 3-5 years for the whole thing to be fully processed.

    if you become a citizen, then you can petition your fiance. or, if you become a citizen while waiting for the spousal visa, then it only takes a year instead of 3-5.
