  1. Bring you leg up to you face if possible... most kickers in HS are punters, so their legs are used to lifting up...asl you coach becuase he can answer better then us...

  2. stretch it and do some high kicks

  3. IT DOENST REALLY MATTER how high you get your leg..!!!

all that matters is PROPER form and function...

in the pic it looks like your not following through all the way...

keep your toe pointed out the whole way through...

and kick THROUGH the ball and NOT AT the ball....

and just like everything else, keep your EYE on the target!!!

im sure you know, to remember to kick with the inner side of your foot and big toe!!!

its not soccer, and its not kickball...

    ITS FOOTBALL......!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. have a lot of s*x and do the superman..it will help you extend muscles to its limit

  5. It is irrelevant how high your leg goes - unless it is impeding your distance for field goals.  But you specifically mention PATs.

It IS highly relevant how accurate your kicks are and that your motion is just fast enough to get the kick off before the defense penetrates enough to block it.  Make the PAT first. Worry about form only if that does not happen.

I have nowhere near the range of motion that I had when I was a teenager, and as such, wouldn't venture to punt the ball now, even though I know the technique well and can outpunt most human beings. Can't risk the ham injury. However, I play indoor soccer, and kick the ball so hard with a jab style kick, that most of my buddies vacate the goal when I cut one loose, as they don't want to be in the way when it comes through.  It's not about range of motion - it's about power and accuracy.  I see the same thing with golfers.  I can't take the long, sweeping back swing I used to, but hit with tremendous power with what many call a "penguin swing".  All of the actions are about stored energy.  How much energy can you store and release accurately, not how "long" the release cycle is.

    Tear 'em up!

  6. Relax, drive your foot through the ball, and follow through.  It doesn't really matter how high your foot goes but it should go fairly high if you're kicking longer field goals.

  7. You don't need your leg higher than what I see in the photo. You do need to keep your rhythm, keep your head down, point your toe to get the proper follow-through, strike through the ball instead of letting up as you make contact, and (something you can work on) use weights on your legs and jump a lot to give maximum snap through the kick.
