  1. Ah Bless, you could say you like to be with kids and help them to enjoy all the lovely books you have read in the children's library.

  2. I'm in the process of applying to a Montessori and Early Childhood Education program, and I'm having trouble answering that question as well! I can't explain why I'm attracted to this line of work... I just am!

    Some things to think about:

-Have you always liked working with kids?

-Do you volunteer with kids and enjoy it?

    -Do you have younger siblings/cousins?

-Do you feel you have a rapport with kids?

-Do you get along better/easier with kids than adults?

-How do you feel about the methods of teaching?

-What do you want to teach kids?

-What skills, experiences, etc, do you feel you have that kids could benefit from?

-What is it about that specific program that attracts you to it?

Try to answer all of those questions. Then, use your answers to write your letter to the school. I think once you wrap your mind around some of these things, it'll be easy to write your letter!

    Good luck!

  3. The best answer is an honest answer! Why do you want to teach preschool? Try telling us why and maybe we can help you organize YOUR thoughts into a nice answer.

Now that I've read your added information, that sounds like a great reason! "I know that the preschool years are an essential time for developing social and pre-reading skills. I want to teach children those skills that will benefit them later in life."
