  1. i have kind of the same thing going with me because i want another horse.  but right now i don't have the money.

first you have to do your research.  find out what kind of boat you want and how much it would cost.

you also have to find out how much it would cost for maintenance.

also in order to keep your boat you should have however much money you need for one month times 24 so you are already ahead 2 years!  it may not even last 2 years if an accident happens.

but to stay ahead you will also need a steady job.  where you can work a lot.  but if the job doesn't make enough money per hour you have to think about if you would have time to drive the boat.

if you want to drive the boat which i assume you do you'll have to get your boat license.

  2. Go to your local harbor in the middle of the night. Some idiot is bound to leave their keys in the ignition.

  3. do anything you can towards achieving your goal go on boating trips work save up and keep contact with other boat pple and with passion if you have a passion for it that dream will be a reality

  4. This is what you do.

    2 cups of berries

    2 cups of hot water

    Some lime juice

    Add some sugar

    Then drink it!!!!!!!!!!!

After that you need to get a yellow marker at target and some red construction paper. Draw your favorite animal. Works best if you draw a deer. Next you go on a run. After that you go on the computer and study calculus and the Indian culture. Hope I answered your question.

  5. "a kid" doesn't give us much to go on.

If you know any boat people (I mean, families with boats) who will invite your family on an outing, then you got a chance to get 'em hooked.

Just some advice for down the road:  get yourself a boat soon as you are able.  Even cheap old boats can be a blast for awhile and if you're short on funds, fixing old boats can be fun too and doesn't have to be expensive.  Don't wait till you can afford the fancy stuff.

Meanwhile, check out the forums on http://forums.iboats.com

  6. GET A PADDLE/PEDDLE BOAT. THEY ARE AFFORDABLE FOR KIDS AND ALSO PRETTY DANG FUN

  7. WOW!  WHAT A WONDERFUL DREAM...

WHAT EVER YOU DO...  DON'T GIVE UP THE DREAM...

So, you are a "kid" huh... Well kid, I know of two kids (16 year olds) that have sailed around the world - ALONE!  One of them did it back in the 1960s - and the other is doing it right now!

So, I don't know how old you are - but - your parents concern probably has more to do with "being responsible" then being a kid.

    So, try this out...

          http://www.glenl.com/

This link is a great place to begin your "boating" life.  It is also a great place to begin a "father & son" project.  Look at some of the plans, pick out a boat you would like to build "just for you"  then, pick one out big enough for you and your Dad.  Once you have done this, (catch him with the time is right) and ask him if you can show him "a father & son project" you would like to do with him...

Once you have him looking at the boats, (he should be hooked).  Ask him, if he thinks two of you could build a boat that both of you could go out on...  In the meantime - get yourself a "safe boating" manual - it should be free from your local USCG Auxillary.  And check out the stuff you can learn on line...

Below, is the 16 year old currently sailing around the world alone...  Robin Lee Graham however, was only 16 when he started his sucessful round the world solo in the late 1960s.

    DON'T GIVE UP THE DREAM!

    Happy & Safe Boating!

  8. Well if your parents aren't fans of boats, don't ask them to spend money on something they don't want. I suggest that you wait until you're old enough (I'm guessing 18) and buy yourself a boat. Try saving up so you'll have enough money.

  9. Locate a scout group near you. They have a division called the Sea Scouts, try to join them. Next solution is to locate a local yacht club and start to meet the people there. As they get to know you and you are reliable, polite and diligent, you may be invited to some of there functions.  Even now you start at the bottom and work up.  You may be able to buy a small row boat for little money.  You don't mention where you live or what type of boat you want. Do research in the library, and in magazines.   When you reach 17, you could join the Navy, I hear they have some boats, and many ships.

There are also many model boat clubs around the world. You can learn many things from them and start to understand about the water and how not to get wet.

  10. What kind of boat?  If you want a kayak or canoe, you can start saving up money to buy one yourself.  Look on Craigslist.com for used boats for sale.

    Have fun!

  11. get a job make money although how old are you? you can only get a job at 15.

  12. are you talking about a toy boat or a boat that is big and expensive ?

if its a small boat then beg your parents and say you will do some chores or something if its a big and expensive boat then when you get older and have some money go buy it yourself ! :)

  13. Make one out of a large cardboard box.

  14. steal one ha ha

  15. Have you & your Dad get a small 1 get him interested in boating>At least ask him to take you out and look at some at the marinas> Guy things>My son at 12 had his own boat and today he owns his own boats & is a light tackle charter fisherman in the Keys> Started at 18> So don't give up>

  16. What I did when I was younger was to go to the local lakes and rent a canoe or rowboat. If you live near a yacht club they might have a youth program you can get involved in. And the Boy Scouts might have something for you depending on your area.

  17. grow up to be rich and buy one for yourself! a decent boat is quite expensive and there's a lot of maintenance!

  18. i think you should do a presentation on them. that include a board, a remote control boat, and some research on the price of a boat(i would go for the cheapest) and what type is your style.

  19. Keep wishing... you can get your own when you're are a big boy and make money.

  20. you should clean like for 3 or 4 days  nd then ask them if u can have one

  21. ask for one for christmas, birthday ect.....: If that doesn't work you better start saving up your money or show you are responsible enough to care for your own boat

  22. save up your own money to buy a boat

  23. When you're old enough (over 18) and have enough money, just buy one.
