He has no idea who I am, but I know both he and his wife through work, but not on a personal level. Should I reveal to him who I really am, or just ignore him online? He works dayshift, and I work second shift so we rarely see each other...

Lol this happens! I would talk with him further via email to be sure everything is on the up & up and in the event you feel comfortable reveal your identity.

Maybe he really knows who you are and testing the waters.
