I'm a minor, can I drive with someone with an out-of-state license?

I live in Arkansas and my friend from another state is coming to visit. She is of legal age to "supervise my driving" but I don't know if it's okay to drive with someone with an out-of-state license. help?

  1. in Arkansas, you and your cousin are governed by the laws of Arkansas


  2. Yes you can as long as you follow the rules that you got your license in.........so you must follow the Arkansas rules completely..

  3. go for it. worst comes to worst and you get pulled over say their your cousin..works for me

  4. you should check with your Secratary of State office, DMV, or whatever it's called in Ark. if you are on a permit some states require that a parent or guardian be with you at first.

  5. As long as your cousin is over 18, you'll be fine.

  6. Well, when I was 17, my 19-year-old friend and I drove to Canada (we're from Michigan, and I was the only one with the license). We had to stop at the gate and show our ID, too... so, if I could drive international, I think you should be fine driving out-of-state :)
