  1. i was a freshman last year and the first day i didnt even get time to eat lunch, the line was so huge that when i sat down (alone) the bell rang =[

so i suggest u bring ur own lunch. I think u should walk up to ppl, whats the worst thing that can happen??

  2. Dude no worries, high school is great for friends. The chances of you not finding anyone to talk to is next to none. But if you do find yourself in that situation its perfectly fine to talk talk to some one you don't know or barley know. Talk to some one that was in one of your classes and meke new friends.

  3. I found out that I almost have NONE of my friends in my lunch!! I think my lunch has a little freshman but alot of sophomores!! Yeah... so I told myself that I would make some new friends and sit with them at lunch so I'm not as nervous!! So during class, try to find people that are in your lunch and be friends with them and just casualy be like you wanna sit together at lunch ?!? Good luck!

  4. yes. just find someone. that's what i did, (in 8th grade) and i made some of the best friend s in the world. i start high school (freshman) tomorrow. im asking about it too. good luck to you!

  5. Well going into my freshman not only was i new to the school, but i was new to the district and i didnt know ANYONE but i turned out fine!! If you can just go up to people in class or at lunch and im sure (almost positive) that there's gonna be more people like you feeling that way so yea just go up and talk to whomever seems to be your type of friend!! Freshman year is not so bad, not at all!! Good luck!!

  6. there are a few things you can do. make sure in every class before lunch, you talk to the people around you, ask there names and make conversation with them, this way you will have more options when it comes to lunch time. any other option is to join a fall sport, you will meet new people during preseason and tryouts (it may be a little late for sports, but if your school allows you to join this late you should look into cross country, soccer, or field hockey) that will give you an automatic group of friends. another thing you can do is get a facebook page, you can find people from your school and make a few new friends before your first day. good luck, i was a freshman last year and had the same problem, but everything turned out okay. just remember that there are a bunch of people in the same situation as you are, every one is nervous on their first day of highschool.

  7. you will see friends in lunch, the school purposley puts an even amount freshmans and juniors etc.you should have classes with the same age group as you and some classes might have upper classman in it so you can be friends with them.i made alot of sophmore and junior friends last year when i was a freshman.dont worry things work out themselves.dont forget everybody is just as nervous as you are.

  8. talk to people in your first bells! meet them and be friendly that way if you get in that situation you have back up people that you know

dont be to worried things will work out

    good luck

  9. I'm going to be a sophomore in high school, and I know exactly what you mean. When i went into high school, I switched from public school, to a Catholic school, and I knew only one person who went to the same school. If your friends arent in your lunch or classes, you have to try to talk to people and make yourself seem outgoing. Try telling people you like what theyre wearing or something, to start conversation. The most important thing, though, is to make friends with the people in your homeroom. You will be with them the most throughout the year in various activities and such. Most people are nervous about high school, which allows you to be able to make all new friends.

  10. Talk to your friends before the first day, and set up a meeting spot, like right outside the cafeteria. If you don't see any of your friends, sit with someone you recognize from one of your classes.

  11. Everyone is going to be in the same boat as you on their first day of Freshman year. Most likely one of your friends will be in the same class as you before lunch period....if not, make a quick friend in that class, that why you guys can talk on the way to the luch room.
