  1. It's at the very top, center of his head.  You may notice that it is a little lower than the rest of the head, or that it pulses when his heart beats.

As long as you don't actually press on that spot pretty hard, it's okay.  You won't hurt him by dressing him.  Go to the doctor with him next time and you will see the pediatrician apply a little pressure just to check the soft spot.

It is so sweet that you are a caring and concerned Daddy.  I know it's hard, but remember that babies are pretty durable, they don't break.  In a few months you'll be a pro, the one giving advice to others!

  2. Don't worry. He's a lot tougher than he looks. I'm not saying you don't have to be careful, but you won't break him. (just don't drop him)

There is a soft spot on the top, and one in the back. The one in the back(posterior soft spot) will close aroung 6 weeks. The one on top does not close until 18 months, but it does get smaller.

  3. just feel his head. its in the center of his noggin and will get smaller and smaller each month. dont worry about hurthing him while dressing him you are not going to hurt him like that. i promise

  4. It's normal for all new parents to be worried about doing it all right. The soft spot is in the center of the top of his head. My son is 5 months old and my husband is still scared of being left alone with our son.

  5. Everyone feels like that. It does get easier, I promise. My partner used to be terrified of hurting our little girl but now he's an expert and dresses her every morning with no worries.

  6. On his head....
