I'm a picky vegetarian, can anyone give me food ideas?

I'm home alone all day so I have to rely on myself to make all my food. I'm really picky and I like things that are easy to make and taste good. I eat mayo and cheese sandwiches and chicken noodle soup a lot because it's fast. Please don't give me websites or books, I don't have the patience to look through. I want simple things, like what you'd make for your kids. Thanks!

  1. -try peanutbutter bannana sandwiches- self explainitatory

-microwave cheese on bread and it is really yummy for a sandwhich

-mac and cheese with strawberry shavings is yummy(most people say it sounds disguisting)

-salad with cashues(or any kind of nut)and mandarin oranges tasted really good

    -cheesy pickles ore good too

-and cut atype of cheese like chedder-jack or colby into cubes and stick pretzel sticks in them(real yummy snack)

  2. You aren't a vegetarian if you eat chicken noodle soup.  The broth is still chicken based.

  3. Apparently, not a very strict vegetarian since the soup is based on boiled chicken parts, also known as chicken broth.

If you can't be bothered to read some suggested sites, just stick with the cheese and fresh fruit and veggies.

  4. pan pizza - cuban or french bread  split down the middle then add pizza sauce and shredded cheese put in oven for crispy or microwave if u like it gooey

  7. I THINK YOU SHOULD GET THE BOOK  COOKING FOR KIDS.........

  8. I'm pretty picky too, the first dish I made for myself when i first turned vegetarian was a seitan sandwich.  I cooked the seitan (wheat protein) in a pan with pepper and other spices, then I cooked  mushrooms, onions, and green and red bell peppers (with them cut into thin slices).  then i put both together in a wheat sandwich with mozarella cheese.  You could always make fettuccine alfredo, which doesn't have any meat, but just add vegetables, like mushrooms.

  9. You can make instant mashed potatoes, check the labels on cans of soup at the store, a lot of them are vegetarian.  Lentil and vegetable soups.  I make "noodles and sauce".  Boil noodles and then put tomato sauce and canned diced tomatoes in it.  That's pretty simple and tastes good.  Same with spaghetti, you can get spaghetti sauce at the store that is vegetarian.  You can try veggie burgers or veggie dogs, but you may not like them if you are picky.  They also have veggie ham and turkey if you want to make a sandwich.  PB & J.  Fruit smoothies and salads are really good and fast.  Homemade chili with chili seasoning and kidney and chili beans with canned tomatoes (love that!).  You can make tacos and sloppy joes with veggie crumbles, Boca and Morningstar Farms both make really good ground beef substitutes.  I make my own soup using vegetarian vegetable broth.  Just boil the broth and add noodles and carrots and/or potatoes or any veggies you might like.  Broccoli is really good in that with some garlic salt.  Good luck! =)

  10. I'm a vegetarian too. Check out my page, "Eat Without Violence" at my website below. Much luck to you and thank you for your compassionate choice!
