Well, people more than likely laugh because they think that you are not telling the truth when you say that. And so they automatically assume when you say that you must be lying.

But also if you are a prince I do not think that you should rub it into other people's faces either. If you are of Royal descent then that is fine and good for you but do not sit there and try to make everyone envy you. And do not call yourself a princess unless you really are a princess. If you are a princess in your heart then I wish you the best. But do not sit there and try to make yourself seem like royalty when you are a a verage commoner like everyone else in the world.

They laugh because they din't think that you are a princess.Are you of royal birth?Or did you marry a royal prince?Just calling yourself a princess doesn't make you one and people do tend to laugh at the overly pretentious,considering them fakes and maybe even flakes.
