  1. I suggest that you have a set budget with penalty. In other words if you go past your budget, take 50% out of the following shopping fund and deposit it into a "No Touch" savings account..

Let's say you set your budget at $100 dollars. If you go a tiny bit over that limit, then your next shopping fund amount will be $50 dollars. Put the extra $50 dollars into a savings account that you will not be tempted to touch, preferrably one without an ATM card.

Or whenever you shop, simply ask yourself this question. "Is this something that I absolutely need that will help me with my job or at home?" If the answer is no, then don't buy it.

    I hope this helps.

  2. Well you should definitely have a budget.  Figure out how much you make, and if you have any bills to pay.  You should put a certain amount in a savings account every time you get paid....like half of the spending money you have left.  Then just try to busy yourself in other ways, or at least shop somewhere cheaper, like goodwill!

  3. It's all about self discipline. If you can't control yourself then maybe you should put your money in the bank. Never spend your whole check, ever. Go shopping every other week, but know what you're looking for. It's easy to spend money when you leave just intending to spend money. If you actually think of something you want to spend money on in particular, it will lessen your impulse buying.
