So three days after getting my license I crashed into a parked car. I have since driven into a fence, broke the engine to my car and driven into a tree. This is six months after getting my license. Um...so, what should I do?

  1. You can always take more driving lessons - from a professional school.

    Good Luck...

  2. I think you should stick with public transport.

You obviously don't have the confidence or reaction time necessary to be in control of a vehicle.

Think about how you would feel if next week it was a child or somebody's pet instead of a fence or a tree.

Don't feel bad.  Too many people these days think that it is their god given right to drive a car.  Not true.  Just because you can get a licence does not mean that you can drive.

The way I see it is:

Not everybody has the co-ordination to play a musical instrument - so what's the difference with driving?  I think a good driver has a certain talent, just like a musician.  Just because cars are our ideal mode of transport since they were created does not indicate that we all have the ability required to master one.

Good on you for stopping to think about it.

  3. Hi, tell me your area, the time you go out, the type & Reg of your car,I will try to avoid you,  It sounds to me that you are not concentrating on what you are doing, Just think the next time you could kill someone, Wake up, if you carry on you will loose your licence quicker than you go it.

  4. Take private lessons through a school or some sort or if money is an option, find a licensed driver who has been doing it for some time (your parents for example) and have them drive around with you.

  5. You've done more damage in 6 months than I've done in 11 years

You can still go to a driving school and deal with all your driving bugs (or most of them).

  6. Well....

Sounds like you are maybe not being mindful while you drive.

Relax, take your time, and pay more attention to how your actions affect the actions of the car.

Also going to a good instructor would probably help you.

    Best wishes!

    = )

  7. Learn how to drive or stay off the road.

  8. Put the cell phone down and pay attention to the road while you are driving.....

  9. Ride a bike

    Invest in public transportation

    Park your car indefinitely!

  10. take some more lessons.......good luck........how did you get ur license in the first place?

    lol.

  11. go to drivers ed.
