I chose to register to vote when I got my license. Do I need a voter card or something to vote when the primaries are held?

  1. you should have received a voter registration card in the mail.  Now it is your job to pay attention to candidates and issues and make the best decision you can.  youchoose.com and the league of women voters often have information.

  2. Well, I can only speak for Virginia, but here when you register at the DMV, you are on the list that the poll workers have and you just need to show photo ID and then your name is cross checked on their list.  But their list is only for people who vote at that particular polling place, so you have to make sure you know the proper place to vote.  You can't just go anywhere and vote in most states.  You have to be in your proper precinct which is based on where you live.

Just to be safe, you may want to check the Voter Registration website for your state.

Glad you are registered, and glad you will be voting!!!

  3. You are now on the voter rolls.  When election time arrives, you will receive voter information in the mail, including the location of your polling place where you need to vote (they'll have your name on their list).

  4. No Voting card necessary. Just go to your polling place and vote!

  5. You need to contact the supervisor of elections for your county, Give them your legal address, they will send you

a voters registration card with the polling place for you to

    vote at,,

  6. Get ready for jury duty
