As far as reliable, safe and how easy it is to drive, would you say it's a good car? About what price would i be looking at?

Depends on the mileage, condition, and the features. The 2009 Eclipses start at $20k and they are refreshed and look a little better. For a Mitsubishi its better to buy new because the 100k/10 year warranty is not transferrable. And you will have 0 miles on the odometer.

If you've seen the 2006 Eclipse you understand our dilemma. The first and second generations of the car were feisty econosports available with turbocharged four-cylinders and all-wheel drive. They were big on value and, as the 1990s wore on, big on s*x appeal. The third generation lost that scrappy character and those buxom curves, but gained a smooth V6 and a highway ride to match.

The 2006 Eclipse is round once more. It looks a little like the second-generation car. It also looks a little like the Audi TT and Nissan 350Z. But there are distinctive touches like a gaping intake duct, multireflector headlights that appear to be wearing monocles, an aluminum-trimmed spoiler and LED taillights.

We talked to Eclipse owners. Some love the front end, some hate it. Some think designers softened the Concept-E styling too much, but most agree Mitsubishi has come back to a s**y Eclipse.

It is reliable. The least reliable Japanese brand, but still reliable.

It is not easy to park. Rear window and mirror visibility is very bad.

But it is fun to drive, looks great, and the Eclipse GT is very fast.

I don't see many on the roads so it would be better to get a less common car.
