Question:

I'm a runner in need of a haircut, but I don't want any pieces hanging out when I run. What do you suggest?

My hair right now is VERY long (the ponytail itself is about 14 inches) and it drives me nuts. I love shorter hair, but don't want it in my face when I run. Do pigtails get annoying on runs? Is there any particular type of haircut that I *shouldn't* get?

  1. Go with a full Brazilian wax job.  That way, no peices can fall out while running.

  2. Personally, I always thought a woman running with a ponytail is rather attractive (the way the ponytail swinging back and forth).

Of course I understand why you don't want hair in your face while you run, as it could be a safety issue.  I would suggest you get a haircut you like (long, short or in between) and keep the hair in place during the run with pins, headbands, clips and/or a cap.

I too am a runner, but as a guy, my hair is short :)

  3. I say shave it all off that way none of it will get in your face at all!!

  4. i would go with a cute short haircut, whatever you think is nice, then use prewrap to keep it out of your face while you run.

i had bangs and layered short hair for a while, and prewrap as a headband worked great.

just tell your stylist that you will need to be able to put it in a secure ponytail, and keep it long enough for that.

or you could go chin length and use the prewrap to keep it out of your face.

    good luck and keep truckin!

  5. Just get your hair cut shorter, but don't get layers or bangs. You'll still be able to put it in a ponytail, it's just the ponytail itself will be shorter. You can also experiment with running with braids or pigtails, or frenchbraiding your hair. I think any haircut would be okay as long as it doesn't bother you when you run or get in your face.

  6. get what ever you think is cute and then go buy clips

  7. Wear a hat.  My hair is super long also, and I just put it up and throw on a hat.  It keeps it out of my face, and keeps the pieces from annoying me.

If you do decide to go short, again, throw on a hat.  It's perfect.

    Good luck!
