  1. yeah... be careful though so you don't become dependent on alcohol to solve your social fears.

  2. Everyone does that. Yeah you're the most normal person in the world. All you need is a fifth-grade vocabulary for after you take those shots or to take your top off or kick it with a dollar bill up your nose and everyone will treat you like you're the queen (or king) of England or Don Johnson.

  3. That's what alcohol does my friend. The part of the brain that controls your inhibitions becomes impaired. That's why it is commonly called "liquid courage". Try not to get too attached. It's possible to become more confident on your own.

  4. Video yourself being what you think is "the life of the party" and watch it later, when you're sober.  You'll probably be mortified to see what kind of behavior made you feel so "cool" at the time!

Better to figure out how to gain that same kind of confidence WITHOUT the influence of alcohol.  Maybe it means finding less judgmental people to hang out with, or maybe it means some counseling/personal coaching sessions for you to up your confidence/self-esteem.  Don't get me wrong - I enjoy the occasional alcoholic beverage, myself.  However, I eventually figured out that I wasn't nearly as funny, drunk, as I thought I was....

Hope this helps - good luck!

  5. yeah... be careful though so you don't become dependent on alcohol to solve your social fears.

  6. You're no different than anyone else who takes 4 shots of vodka. Inhibition is lowered to the point of nil and you're able to express yourself without worrying what other people are thinking about you.

Practice this mediation: I cannot control what other people think. I cannot control what other people think.

The belief that you CAN control other people's thinking is what makes you so shy and socially-phobic. You forbid yourself to engage with society because you're so certain that you'll s***w up, offend someone, or otherwise exhibit improper social graces.

  7. well, its normal.. but make sure you don't drink a lot!!! but you know what i have seen a lot of people who are not so talkative but after a drink, they get so active..i have two cousin who does the same!!! isn't that hilarious...nobody would love to stop them, cause they don't talk and when we all see that they are talking, it is so funny....

good question and have a nice day!!!
