  1. Cons - it is hard to be working while attending to kids.

Pros - you have money to buy food and clothes.

  2. As long as you're a desk jockey, go for it. Otherwise, be a mom first. As a single parent, you always have to put your child's welfare in front of your own -- and there's always a risk that you're not going to come home at night. You can't chance doing that to your kid.  Sorry, but that's the long and short of it. If you're a single parent, you should not be engaged in high-risk behavior that could leave your child without any parents.

  3. well it is hard work. i worked as a supervisior in a jail for several years and i was single with out a kid and it was tough. i am post certified also. i loved the work i did. ...i was accepted to be a k9 patrol officer and they denied my transfer...now i am pregnant and have quit law enforcement all together. i could never picture myself working in that field again with a baby on the way or as a parent. it was hard leaving because i loved the work but it is too dangerous in the jail and on the road esp for a single mom. i didnt want to have my kid (s) worry about if mommy was coming home tonight or if mommy is hurt what is going to happen. i encourage you to follow your dream (if this is it) but just make sure you do all of your homework before taking something like this on.

  4. Cons - gettin' shot/danger/crappy pay

Pros - respect/good role model for child/get away with stuff
