Question:

I'm a sophomore in high school and did a marathon without really training for one. Is this common?

I did it in 3:31:27. I've never heard of anyone else who has done what I did the way I did it. I was just putting in about 20 miles a week for track up to the point where I ran it in late May. So yeah I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like that before.

  1. not common, but you did train quite a bit. well done. You should compete professionally,

  2. no but it's kinda bad for u to do in high school hince y they don't have it during track, running races like the marathon while ur still growing and stuff and running them will burn u out mentally and physically but wither way good job

  3. Good job. Might want to tone down that ego just a bit though.

  4. Wow, very impressive. I have not heard of anyone completing a marathon on 20 miles a week, let alone doing it in the time you did. You must be a very naturally talented runner! Be careful about doing marathons at your age, though. I have heard it's not so great to do too many while you are still growing. In any event, congratulations!

  5. Not common, but good job
