  1. When it comes to selling picks, it doesn't matter if you can pick games or not, it all depends on being a salesman.  If you are a good enough salesman, your product doesn't need to be any good.  This is the current state of the industry in terms of "tout" services.

    If you really are a good handicapper, maybe you can show your data to some investors and get a bankroll and just bet your own picks.  It always struck me as ironic that touts would try to sell their picks when it would be so much easier to start a syndicate and bet their own picks.  The answer is that touts can't pick games, they are hustlers who can't pick a winner to save their life.  The biggest irony is that they can get suckers to pay for their services.
