I'm 16. I have been swimming for 6 years. I'm 6"0 1/2. I want to get faster and be the top swimmer on my team. Previous to this summer I hadn't touched a weight and was only 115 lbs. I have been lifting the last two months and taking lots of protein. I now weigh 135lbs. Swim season is coming up soon. Should I keep taking my protein shakes, or should I wait to the off-season? Thanks for reading all that.

  1. yea u do need protein but u also need a lot of potassium also.

  2. you don't want to build your muscles too big or your streamline will be thrown off and your times will go up instead of down. you want to have tight, small muscles, not big bulky ones. you can still have your protein shakes just cut back on them.
