  1. Use cold water on everything. Use cold water tide, its excellent. And its not true that hot water kills germs. You would have to have boiling water to kill germs.

  2. Towels, undies, socks, washclothes, sheets.....hot water.

    I do most everything else on cold, this keeps things from shrinking!

  3. I always use cold water, for one it saves energy, and it doesn't allow the colors to run.

  4. I think there are bigger questions u should be asking than temp on laundry. theres more to the world than temp on laundry.

  5. Whites you always wash in hot water and also a hot rinse.

    Darks are cold and cold rinse

    Colors is kinda like your pic cold or medium but not hot!

    I wash dark and colors in cold so my clothes dont shrink!

    But white always in hot hot hot!

  6. haha thats funny that your gonna sort your clothes... im 24 and i never sort my clothes out at all i have just put them all in the washer... i use only cold water only. so that way nothing shrinks and if there is in stains in the clothes they will come out.

  7. cold water on everything saves energy. and it will get clean, that is why we have soap and bleach. lol.

    make sure to keep your whites, darks and bright colors separated.

    white = hot with bleach

    darks = medium

    brights = cold to keep colors bright

    you can wash everything in cold and it is alot easier on the fabrics and things won't shrink as much.

    read the labels on all of your clothes to see how to wash them.

  8. On the tags of your clothing, there are washing instructions. These should tell you exactly what temperature to wash them in. In general whites do best in hot, jeans and colors are best in warm, and delicate items such as lingerie, dresses, blouses, etc. do best in cold.

    Note: the hotter the water, the more germs it gets out. hotter water on some clothes however will shrink, fade, or make the colors bleed in some of your clothes so use caution when using the hot water

  9. whites-hot

    colors-medium

    darks-cold

    if you buy tide cold water or another detergent like that you can wash all your clothes in cold water and save some energy!

  10. Cold for all clothes. It saves on energy, keeps colors better, and prevents shrinking.

    Different temperatures on washing machines were just invented as a sales ploy. People in other parts of the world just use cold water for all.

  11. it says on the machine
