I'm a vegan, yet I'm still overweight b/c all I can eat are carbs? How can lose weight other than excersice?

Most of the things i eat are like bread and I drink soymilk and eat a lot of fruits

  1. im not sure i understand - if you are a vegan - how are you eating all carbs?  your food choices must not be very good even if they are vegan.  reexamine your eating habits.  also what is the rest of your lifestyle? if you are stagnant or under stress or eat in the evenings before bed or have any health issues these could all affect the weight.  sounds to me like you need a complete eval on the lifestyle choices to determine where the glitch is.


  2. try eating brown rice, no milk mango smoothies, tofu, and salads.

  3. Eat more vegetables and less pasta and bread.  You WILL have to exercise.  Don't be so lazy.  You can't expect a perfect body if you are not willing to work for it.

  5. Are you new to veganism? It sounds like you might need to do a little research into the vegan diet.

    Your diet should not be mainly carbs - that's not healthy. Try eating a balanced mix of fruit, vegetables, beans, pulses, lentils, nuts, brown rice, etc.

    To lose weight, you simply have to burn more calories than you consume. It's that easy.

    Keep an eye on what you eat, widen the range of food in your diet, and exercise regularly. You will succeed!

  6. Eat lots of  raw veggies. Also, don't eat regular bread, switch to brown rice bread, it's better for you and you'll lose tons of weight! I went from a size 6 to a size 1 in 2months! Also, no sodas or super sugary processed snacks! You should definately excercise some though. It's good for you.

  11. You can eat more than that without the carbs. Try nuts, vegi's carrots, artichokes, etc...go on line and find all foods that vegans can eat,

  12. Exercise is probably the best way to lose weight. A healthy diet alone is rarely enough especially if you are trying to lose more than a few pounds. I'd say lay off the bread, or switch to whole wheat, if you havent already and eat more vegetables.
