  1. I too am a vegetarian, i suggest you eat a lot of protein foods such as: beans, cheese, nuts, and fake meat products such as -tofurky, smart dogs (which are meatless hot dogs) and eat a lot of veggies and fruits, remember being a vegetarian is hard you need to balance out your diet if you really want to be one and make sure to eat healthy! Hope you found this helpful!

  2. nuts are good for protein :) Someone else can probebly tell you more i'm not very informed.. But I just replaced the meat with quorn and things like that, I didn't take vitamins or anything (even though my family used to constantly try and make me eat peanuts) haha

  3. Lots of whole grains like quinoa, millet, brown rice, buckwheat, and whole wheat.

    Tons of fruits and veggies!

Tofu, seitan, peanut butter, and meat analogs like tofurky, if you want.

also, take a vitamin to make sure you're getting enough vitamins!!

  4. Google the vegetarian food pyramid for a general idea of how much you need from each of the vegetarian food groups.

A healthy vegetarian diet includes plenty of fresh produce, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds.

  5. BAD FOODS

-Full fat cheese, and products that are high in processed palm oil, which are very high in saturated fat.

-Avoid too many foods high in white flour and sugar.

    GOOD FOODS

Green veggies, sesame seeds, low fat yoghurts, and persman cheese, which are all high in calcium.

For protein, eat lentils, quinoa,  soya beans, brown rice, almonds, brazil nuts, peanuts, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds, which all contain good levels of zinc.

Mozzarella and  feta cheese (goats cheese) are better absorbed by the body than cow's products.

Eggs are rich sources of vitamin B 12.

For carbohydrates, eat low sugar cereals, oats, wholemeal bread, brown rice, brown pasta, pumpkin, and potatos.

Red or yellow veggies, carrots, tomatoes, pumpkin, sweet potatos, dried apricots, and leafy green veggies are all rich in vitamin A.

Nuts and seeds are high in essential fats that your body needs

Use unrefined walnut, sunflower and olive oils for salad dressings.

Iron is found  in leafy green veggies, wholemeal bread, black strap molasses, eggs, dried fruits (especially dried apricots), beans, seeds, peas, and nuts.

Eat plenty of foods rich in vitamin C, such as kiwi and cherries, as vitamin C aids absorption of iron from foods.

  6. I would suggest you give up the vegeterian idea and include fish and chicken as part of your diet.  You need the oils in fish and you need the protein in meat to keep you healthy.

  7. Foods that should be eaten regularly:

    Rice

    Milk or milk substitute

    Fruits

    Tofu

    Here are some good recipes:

Stir fry- You need cut up tofu, soy sauce, olive oil, steamed veggies, and cooked rice

Get a frying pan and coat it with olive oil. The put the tofu in the pan and brown each side of it. Next, add the veggies. Add a little soy sauce and put in the rice. Mix everything up and then let it sit on the stove, occasionally stirring it to make sure it doesn't burn. After about a minute and a half of that put it in a bowl and enjoy!

Hummus- chick peas, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, black pepper, and any other spices/seasonings you like

Puree the chick peas. Then add a little lemon juice, paprika, pepper, and other spices. Then stir. Serve with a pita, with cucumbers, or on a veggie wrap.
