  1. since u hit both of them i assume you hit them equally well. honestly i say get the ones that u think look better. Yes, aesthetics does play a role in your swing because you'll have more confidence in the clubs. all things equal just choose which ever is more pleasing to your eye. Seriously...and yeah i've hit both the r7's and the x20's...you can't go wrong with either one, they are solid clubs.

  2. I played Calloway X-Tour for two seasons and they were great, but had to be hit right on the sweet spot.  I considered the X-20s, but like the X Tour they are very heavy - or at least feel that way to me.  I tried all sorts of irons at demo days and in the simulator at Golf Galaxy and ended up buying R7s.  They feel lighter to me, and had the best feel of the ball compressing on the club face even though they are a cast club.  I have played about 10 rounds now with them and really like them.  About 1/2 the price of Calloway too, but one drawback - as they are designed to get the ball up in the air, I haven't been able to figure out how to hit a low (knock-down) shot into the wind yet.  Go back and hit them both again, and just pick the one that feels best to you.  I like the feel of the R7 and the stiff T-90 steel shaft, but you might like the heavier feel of Calloway - either is a great set of clubs.

  3. I feel I am best suited to answer this question as I have played AND changed from both sets.

The Callaways were simply too heavy, it was like swing a house brick at times, they also have one of the smallest sweet spots on the market, if you hit it correctly it went miles but slightly off-centre really punished the average golfer.

The taylors were ok, I used them for 9 months but changed due to the shape of the club head, I always seemed to Dig the toe in which caused slight mis-direction, their was nothing seriously wrong with the clubs (It's my swings fault, not the clubs) but I just couldn't get along with them.

I tried numerous other clubs, Nike's (Truely Awful), Titleist (A better players club) and Mizuno (Beautiful, possible next set)

But settled on some Ping G10's, I have been hitting these bad boys for around 5 weeks now and have fallen in love,

So my first choice would be: - G10's

    2nd: - Mizuno Mx25's

    3rd: Taylor Made

    4th: Titleist

    5th: Callaway

    234th: Nike!!

  4. I have two sets of R7 TP.  I keep one at my home town overseas, and one in the US where I live.  They are very nice.  The best set among 5 I have had in the 8 years I have been playing golf.

  5. Hit both of them on a launch monitor....The data will tell you which one better suits your particular swing tendencies.  No one else can tell you which is best for you.  do the research reap the reward.

  6. Do not purchase a set of TaylorMade's.  Their quality control is so poor.  I do club repair at a golf shop and they have to put weights at the bottom of their shafts inside the heads because they can't keep their swingweights consistent from set to set.  I had a customer who has brought 5 out of 8 clubs from his R7 set in to be reshafted because they all have broken at the hosel.  Callaway's customer service is leaps and bounds better and their quality is much better, and I don't even like Callaway's.

  7. callaway x's are better. i think they just hit more solid more of the time.

  8. its pretty much the clubs you feel more confident with,if you have tried both remember which one gave you better shots and stayed more on you're target line,i have a Taylor made driver, callaway x 3 wood,Adam's hybrid, mizuno irons, titleist wedges, ping putter,i guess what iam saying is,i hit what feels good and gives me the most confidence, and by all means if you can get them custom fitted to you're size and swing that will take a few strokes off instantly

  9. r7 TP's are butter, nothing comes close!

My vote for you are the Taylormade R7 tp's.

  10. Man, I love those callaways.
