  1. The deal sounds fair, go ahead if you really like the car - but not something you need to worry about missing the deal. I am not sure about your location. Around NY/NJ area, you can get a low mile CPO with Honda dealer with this price. It would give extra confident about quality of the car with CPO from Honda dealer.

Beside the price of the car, watch out the other thing that may cost you. (Dealer admin fee, people work fee etc, if you need to finance the car, what is the interest rate etc?? You may lose all saving from price with extra interest.

The SUV is at the bottom of the market right now. It is a good time to buy. I am sure you can find the car even with a lower price. Dealing with large dealer with extra warrenty, felt more safty but I guess this is the trade off for price... I will prefer to have deal with private or small dealer but have my own machanic to look at the cars before confirming the deal.

I was original searching for Pilot, but I got my Acura MDX over this weekend as I found the luxcury line was in an even deeper discount now. My 05 MDX with 72kmile for $15.3k - inspected by my own machanic..fully loaded w/ voice control navi, rear entertainment, backup carmera, onstar, xm radio, memory heat seat, voice Bluetooth handfree cellphone etc.. (The MDX and Pilot are pretty much the same size except MDX is much luxcury than Pilot. The difference on price between basic seems to be minor recently. It is an option worth to take a look again if you plan on buying Pilot at 16.3k.)

If you need finance the car, you should check out Acura/Honda dealer too. They are offering 0.9/2.9 interest rate recently.

  2. Yeah, that sounds like a very good deal.

  3. Is that an EX or an LX?  I have included an link for edmonds.com for the EX you can enter the zip and  other info. to get an idea.

  4. Sounds like a great deal. Are you looking at a little dealer or a large dealer?

Where I am you wouldn't be able to get an EX-L for less then about $20,000 as certified or $18,500 with the 60day powertrain warranty. As the buyer use due diligence by checking both Carfax and Autocheck.
