I'm about to cook Paella but don't have an available banana leaves abroad. What is the alternative?

I saw the Pampanga's Paella and since my fiance is a Kapampangan so I want to cook for him the Paella in Kapampangan's way... it is with malagkit rice.

  3. actually we pampanguenos used banana leaves for paellas so it wont stick the course onto the pan, since most use to cook in slow cooking and not baked. (baking pan or tefals are not that familiar of ethnic cooking in most part of pampanga) and it leaves or give also an aroma upon baking.not require the banana leaves if you have non stick oven tray. what you need to know is the method of how most of the pampanguenos technic ability when it comes to cooking.
