  1. You need sciences and maths. I'd take chem, bio, phys and maths at A Level personally. It's a very difficult degree, you'll probably need all A's.

Most unis offer veterinary science have a look on websites. Also, get some work experience. Join a volunteer organisation or just ring around.

    Good Luck

  2. Take as many science, math, Chemistry, and biology courses as you can.

Volunteer or intern at a local animal shelter, vet's office, clinic, zoo, stable, farm, or research lab. Get as much hands-on experience with animals as possible.

Get to know your pet’s veterinarian and ask him or her questions about the job.

    Check out the educational resources

  3. Any science subject would be good especially Biology. Also, try to get some experience with animals. It would look especially good when you apply to university.

You don't have to go to a specialist college to study this subject, most universities have this course. :)

  4. Biology, science without a doubt will be a necessary subject to do well in.

Here's a list of all the Veterinary courses at Uni in the UK.. they will almost certainly all ask for some background of biology and chemistry, and maths is always useful!

Oh and also, if you don't get into Vet med on your first attempt, you can always do a kind of Gateway course to start off with, or a foundation year. Veterinary courses usually require really high grades, especially the best institutions (like RVC), so it's worth looking at these types of other options just in case.

  6. all the study are good , but are you emotionally strong as a animal lover to see a animal badly hurt or on it's dying minutes or you making the decision to put them to sleep .

I wanted to be a vet to but i am a huge animal lover and i couldn't stand seeing an animal suffer , and i discover that i am just to emotional weak for that . I get attach to animals very quickly .

Also i don't feel the same way as for humans don't ask me why but i been to funeral and all , i can handle it very easy but for an animal i just feel very sad

  7. Well I don't know much about how it's done in the UK, but try to get a job at a local vet clinic - even if it's just cleaning kennels. This will look good on a college application. Otherwise, do well in science classes, go to community college for gen eds and take alot of science classes, apply to EVERY university that does anything close to what you're interested in (that way you'll have options and hopefully a little luck!). This should help ya do it!
