  1. try to get a healthy breakfast. example: the right serving amount of a healthy cereal or try to make a smoothie. you can also purchase a smoothie in a container at a wal-mart or winn dixie, or maybe a gas station. and while you are at the  practice just drink water the whole time. if you drink water instead of kool-aid or something while running, you will not feel like you have to throw-up. well good luck with the try-outs! and im sure you will do just fine.  :)

  2. I'm in tryouts right now, and what I have found is that eating a full bowl of rice krispies or any other rice cereal is good. Avoid any sweet kind of breakfasts like waffles, pancakes, or oatmeal. Yes, oatmeal is good for you in the morning, but for practice it's just not the best choice. Trust me :D Fruit is always a great choice too, but try to stay away from anything overly sugary. Stick to banannas, so during the running portion you'll have less side cramps. If you have break time (we freshman have an hour break after conditioning while the jayvee and varsity train for an hour and leave) then pack something light like a granola bar, or animal crackers. Nothing sweet though, like chocolate covered granola or things like that. I've found that Accelerade also keeps me going during practice. It helps during everything, and not just running. While some girls are way tired after the conditioning portion, I'm still up and going. Stick to all of that and you should be good. Good Luck At Tryouts!

  3. FRUIT! Banana's are the best, also, the night before, for dinner try to get your parents to cook pasta for you, it's the best to have before games, practices, tournaments, and is very good for two-a-days. You should also try to have pasta for lunch.

  4. i would eat something bread like. it keeps it from coming back up after running.

strength or energy i would eat some fruit. the sugar in it gives you evergy but it wont make you feel groggy after.

i would stick to more natural stuff rather than processed food.

i played tennis in high school and now how you feel. one day we had a tournament a few hours from our school and i didnt eat enough for breakfast and had very little for lunch... i was so tired the rest of the day and had the worst three matches i've ever played. i think i even triped during warm ups because i didnt have enough energy.
