I'm about to start kickboxing, how much weight will I lose from it in 2 months?

If I go 2 or 3 times a week and run a mile a day, plus watch what I eat..how much will I lose in 2 months? Does it help tone the body alot?

  1. depends on how much you weigh now and what your diet/lifestyle is like.


  2. you may initially see a little gain in weight as your body will increase the amount of muscle it has, but this is a good thing as muscle increases the metabolism and how much energy you burn during exercise. So stick with it.

    Also make sure your diet is balanced, cut out the junk and unnecessary fat replace snacks and treats with fruit. A proper eating plan will do wonders for how you feel and make sure that any fat you burn off stays gone.

    I would say eating properly is more important than the exercise.

    In 10 weeks you should not be loosing more than 20 pounds, losing more than 2lbs a week can be harmful to your health. Whether you lose this much is dependent how hard you workout and how far you run as well as your diet.

    You may also want to think of checking your body composition or just the body fat percentage as this will give you a better indication of how you are doing at loosing fat. Most people who crash diet loose muscle rather than fat and then as they return to their normal routine they build the muscle back up and actually weigh more.
