  1. I'm guessing they mean paddling. It is very rare, but in Florida, at least, it is still legal. That doesn't mean you have to use physical punishment though. It is prabably up to the teachers if they do it or not.

  2. more than likely it is spanking that they mean.  good for them, maybe if more schools and parents for that matter swatted their children on the behind , the children now a days wont be so destructive and disrespectful to others these days.  good luck.

  3. Yeh thats wat it means, spanking and wat not! U should not take that job, its way wrong to hit children, i did not even know they still did that in schools! Where is it? the school i mean? Anywaz my answer would be dont take the job its way wrong!

  4. That's so wrong. I would have refused the job.

  5. Thats what it means, and yes they do.

  6. I would guess it means they paddle the children and use other ways to inflict pain upon them to punish.

    Eeeek.

Good luck with that one!  I couldn't do it.

EDIT:  Actually, I could do it... but I would choose not to use that method of discipline and I wouldn't ever send a child to the principal knowing that they would get hit.  I'd probably work there and try to protect the kids as much as possible.  hehehe
