I'm looking for my birth mother. I know she has the same name as me. I was adopted from Mexico when I was only a couple months old, I have no idea where to look or how to start the search. Most of the adoption search/reunion resources sites I've found only search within the U.S.

  1. Before your parents could bring you back to the US, the American embassy had to review all of your paperwork and swear you in as a citizen with your parents taking the oath for you. Before that happened, your paperwork went to the embassy and they had a copy of your original birth certificate and a notarized statement with the name of the adoption agency and information on your birth parents.

The answer is to get a copy of your Immigration and Naturalization file and see how much information it gives. you. At the very least it will give your date of birth, place of birth and the name of the court that authorized your adoption. Then you work with the court and the adoption agency down there to see if you can find your birth parents. You can get more information on that here: http://www.archives.gov

  2. try the embassy , ask your adopted mom.if she loves you she must tell you all about your natural mother
