Now is the time I should be asleep. But I'm afraid to go to sleep because of fear of the uncontrollable head & body jerking violently. I usually LOVE to sleep. It's 1 of my favorite things to do. Now, I feel my joints being weak, & I'm awake @ the computer, & I just felt a jerk. This is miserable.

  2. I can hit you in the back of the head with a hammer?

  3. Did you not say that you have Turret's Syndrome?  Could this possible a side effect of that or perhaps one of your medications?  I think that you should leave this one up to the medical professionals.  People on here can give you all kinds of remedies but with the problems that you have I would suggest that you seek medical attention.  If  I didn't care about you I wouldn't say that, I"d just through out some random cure.

    Peace & Love  :)

  5. www.blissive.com

invest in some head phones try this program for free a week

dont eat/read in bed just sleep/matting.

dont exercise or eat spicy foods 4-6 hours before bed.

dim the lights 30 mins before bed, try a Epsom salt soak before bed.

basically establish a nightly routine, an stick to it. eventually your internal clock will kick in, so go to sleep at he same time every night. if at all possible. dint smoke. smoking is a REM blocker. so is alchol/drinking. don't play video games within a hour of bed, an avoid exercise or exerting yourself two hours before. hmm how to put this ... a o****m before sleep helps as well

    hope this helps

if this dont help you might want to see a neurologist

  6. Are they tics?

Don't be afraid!  And don't feel like a jerk.  It's just a part of your body that you'll have to get used to.

That's like somebody saying they're afraid to go to sleep because they snore.  Well, it makes sense, but there are ways to stop/calm it down a bit.

I say go to a doctor if it's really bothering you.  It sounds like tics to me, though.
