In Australia, the maximum amp rating on a house hold circuit is 16Amps.

I presume there are more than one circuit in the house.

If I want to run a couple of heaters and/or other appliances, is there a formula for enterinng in wattage or kw/h or something to get the total amps used within that particular circuit?

Really appreciate you answers!

  1. It's called "Ohm's Law."  Just "google" it.

  2. take the wattage in watts or kW, or the VA  in VA or kVA, and divide it by the voltage (Australia is 230, I think) to get the current.

    remember 1 kW = 1000 W
