  1. I would get a hamster because you can hold and play with them. Fish are really boring, you can't hold him or anything you just look at it. Guineas are friendly, and you can hold them but they aren't really playful. With hamsters you can buy them a ball and put them in it and let them run around the house, you can build mazes and get them awesome cages. Just remember hamsters are escape artists, they always want to escape so when you have him out make sure your watching him carefully because if he gets on the floor in an uncontained area, he's a goner. Also make sure when he is in his cage that the door[s] are closed tightly so he can't get out. They are really fun, you should get one!!

  2. Get a Black Bear Hamster their the nicest!

  3. either a hamster of guinea pig. they are both playful and very loveable. if you want a bigger pet get the guinea pig. but i find syrian hamster more fun and cuddly....they are also softer. but its your choice.

    good luck!

  4. F I S H

Because little rat style pets STINK & fish are cool & easy to keep.

I really really like My fish alot Because they are cool.

( fish dont die quickly, My freshwater tank is over 2 years old & I dont see any dead fish, just happy 2 year old fish~friends.)

  5. hamster or guniea pig ..... defo not a fish they are a bit boring, i would go for a hamster cus you can handle them more easily them a guinea pig

  6. If you want a playful pet, don't get a fish, they are pretty to look at, but that's all. Hamsters hide and sleep all day and run in squeaky wheels all night, not much fun, and guinea pigs are cute, but a little stupid.

Get a rat. They are very intelligent, playful, social, sweet, and clean. Get a female, they don't have the smell that males do. Rats are awake in the daytime, they will come when called, and do silly things like try to steal pencils & hide them, steal your earrings right out of your ears, and they love to be held & petted, without quivering in fear like guinea pigs. Get a fancy rat, like a Dumbo rat.

  7. I think you'd be a little bored with a fish, as you want a playful pet.

So, eliminate that one early off.

A kitten may suit you as you can purchase them for cheap, they're usually free for your basic domestic.

If your parents have indicated that you can not have a cat or dog, you may want to look into rodents and other small animals.

My experience with hamsters, I've wanted to play with my friend's, but every one that I've come across are on the mean side and like to be left alone.

A guinea pig, they are often really annoying at night with that horrid noise they make.

I don't know if you'd be open to getting a rat.

I got one about five years ago and my family weas a little uneasy about my purchasing her due to their reputation.

When actually, in my opinion, they make the perfect pet.

They do not smell bad, instead have a rather sweet smell to them.

They love to play, so one would not disappoint you there.

They are extremely smart, respond to their name as a dog would.

They also do really cute things, mine used to use walnut shells as a hat.

So please don't rule them out.

Also, I'd like to add that you should consider adopting a homeless animal.

I don't know where you live and what the humane societies are like there, but they will often have rabbits, rats, birds, etc for adoption.

Or even check ads on websites such as www.kijiji.com where you will more than likely find a free animal, maybe even with a free cage and free food.

So take a look before heading to the pet store.

  8. Well I would stay away from hamsters and guinea pigs because they smell really bad. If you're going to get an awful smelling pet, go with a ferret, those are kinda sweet, and you can take them on walks on stuff. Fish are more boring but don't smell that bad, although they are obviously not playful and would not live up to your dreams of having an "adventurous" pet.

  9. NOT A FISH THEY ARE BORING!!!! GINNI  PIGS BECAUSE THEY VERY EXCITING!!!! MY FRIEND HAS 1 AND ITS VERY ACTIVE AND THEY DON'T BITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  10. Well, if your looking for a cheap pet. Get a betta fish.

You don't have to feed it everyday, they can live in regular fish bowls.

And the food is fairly cheap.

Hamsters and Guinea Pigs both will cost you money. When I bought mine the cage was 40, the food gets expesive and the bedding too. Not to mention the price for the hamster itself.

  11. whatever you do don't get a guinea pig i had 2 & they sleep in the day, boring old sods, and keep you up rustling all night!!

don't get a fish cause they die really quickly

so i'd suggest getting a hamster

  12. I would say you should get a hamster they are sweet and friendly, easy to care for, and inexpensive, whil guinea pigs are more expensive and hard to handle and fish get a bit boring......i own all 3 and other animals too and the hamsters are the best (apart from the horse)

  13. 1. I know you didn't mention it but I would go with a rat!

    2. Guinea Pig

    3. Hamster

    4. Fish

Most of the costs will be up front with getting the supplies they need. After that it is smooth sailing with just a little bit here and there.

  14. I would get a bunny. They cost as much as a guinea pig and they are much cuter!

  15. get a cat then

  16. Depends on what you want; I've had all three in the past.  The only one of the three you can really play with is the guinea pig; fish don't like to be petted and while a hamster is nice, they get away real easy and you can only pet them with two fingers!  For either furry choice, a plastic kiddie pool is a great place for the two of you to sit and play where the pet can't escape and go where they shouldn't.

However, the noisy one is the guinea pig -- they can squeal very loud when they're wanting attention -- while the other two are relatively quiet.  Cost-wise, the cheapest pet to maintain is the hamster, mostly because he eats less the the guinea pig.  Fish take a tank, filters, chemicals, etc. and can run into quite a bit as you go along.  Hope this info helps!

  17. get a hammy they are inexpensive and are really adventurous

    i  know becuase i have 34 lol

  18. I'd say fish, they totally fit tight budgets the most expensive fish I've seen in a walmart was $5.00 BUT fish tanks get expensive a 2 and a half gallon tank is about $15.00. there great but not playful

I dont know much about hamsters to me they apper to be nasty I think of them like rats no clue how playful

guina pig would be best for you.. I think  they are very playful and can be traned to use a litter box and a card bourd box can be a cage the most expensive thing is the guinea pig it's self. have fun with your new pet                                                     Stephanie S

  19. well a fish would be boring

A gunea pig can be exspenceive

I would get a hamster there cheap and i have one and she's verry fun

  20. Hamster or a Guinea Pig because you can cuddle up with them, and fish don't do anything.
