  1. Hiya,

Unless you got married at 15years old, have a good husband and a nice house then you should think yourself very lucky.

When you have these things and you are not having visits from Aunt Flo that is the time to worry.

There is a lot of stigma between young girls attached to not having a period, mainly because it is associated with maturity, becoming a woman.

This is a load of rubbish, and you should ignore it.

Look at all the slang terms for a period, none of them refer to it as 'My happy time of the month' 'My joy day's'.

You do however find 'Woman's Curse', 'Fell off my bike' , Riding the cotton pony', 'On the rag' etc.

It a period was that great it would be praised not cursed.

Be happy as you are, enjoy your free days, however DO NOT rely on it as a contraceptive.

    Skip

  2. Count yourself lucky, it is not pleasant. There is no set time to start it, everyone is different. but if your really worried see a doctor, but its probably just that your body is a little slow getting the whole hormone thing sorted out

  3. Allot of girls find there periods come late in their teens if they are doing allot of sport, but recommending that you also visit your local doctor as well.

  4. There are so many reasons as to why someone of 17 hasn't started their periods yet.

I'd go to your Doctors, don't worry - he/she has heard it before.

  5. All people start at different times, just wait ......

  6. Stop exercising if you are a gymnast. If you have eating disorders, eat more.

  7. There could be many reasons why. If you are under weight or under stress If you are worried about it talk to your doctor.

  8. Hi

I don't think that is normal

You should go to the doctors

    And see a nurse

    About it

    x*x

  9. At 17 years your are at the very tail end of the bell curve for biological normality, as far as not yet having your first period. I would have a chat with your GP who may well wish to investigate.

  10. Hi, if your period hasn't started at 17 then you should see your Dr who may well investigate. I think normal range in the UK is between 9-16, with the mean age being 12.5. So your just at the tail end. Have a chat with your Dr

  11. YOU LUCKY GURL
