Okay in previous ?s I was looking 4 countries that have access to beaches, r metropolitan but not overdeveloped, financially frugal, & welcoming of those of the darker persuasion(black). Oh yeah the men have 2 b tall/tallish!

My countries of choice r Panama, Peru, Colombia, &Argentina (although Im still trying to confirm information about racism in Argentina).I plan to visit Panama & have been told repeatedly that Peru is very accepting of all people regardless of color, but I cannot visit all these countries just to see if I would be accepted, so any advice from those who know would help.

I have been told that I could be mistaken 4 an Afro-Colombian & killed in Colombia! Is this true? I dont understand what countries have against black people! I shouldnt have 2 go 2 majority black latin countries to feel safe & accepted (like DR) especially since I'm only trying to explore & learn about other people. But guess its just the way some parts of the world is (Italy) I digress...thanks!

  1. hey girly! so nice to see a kindred spirit on here...allright, know what you mean about italy, completely a lost cause to live there if you're black...NO respect! but, on a better note, some south american countries are a bit better...Argentina-NO, just like Italy, but with less economic status...be prepared for people to assume you are a cleaning lady wherever you go if you move there...colombia, a bit better, they tend to discriminate against 'indios', but are civil to blacks in general, however, the country is really unstable right now, so again, that is a  NO. Panama and Peru are better. But why not just move to the Bahamas or Trinidad? they have a great economy, are largely populated by beautiful black people, and no language barrier! think about it...that's what i would do..

but if you really want to go to a spanish speaking country, I reccomend SPAIN!! YESS!! move to barcelona asap. wonderful country, great food, nice people, oh, and spaniards LOVE black women. enjoy your trips...i sure miss them!

  2. well, i live in Argentina and i dont think u would have any trouble regarding your skin color. its true that there isnt a lot of black ppl here, actually very few, but there are a lot of other ethnics and we dont have a racism problem...in fact, we ARE a mixture of ethnics. besides, argentines are very friendly with all tourists.

im sorry you had a bad experience in italy, but you should try to forget about it and enjoy your trip instead of getting worried in advance.

    kisses and good luck!

  3. Why haven't you considered Uruguay?? South of Brasil so you're gonna have dark Brasilians near by! Close to a beach! Safe! And inexpensive....

As far as Columbia....unless you are asking for it and going to the dangerous non-vacation spots...then maaaaybe...but they get such a bad wrap! You're not famous or known for wealth I take it? So they're not going to pin-point you....Just don't travel alone....

Italy..?? Wow...have you BEEN there? They are SO not that way! If they were to you I apologise...

You'd have a blast in Brasil darlin'....just don't be so American and afraid to TRY things outside you box!!

    Enjoy!

  4. Go to Colombia.  Racism is very isolated.  I don't think there is one place on earth that is racism-free and I don't refer only to white-black racism.  Latins, Arabs, Asians, Americans, nearly everyone can suffer from racism in different societies.  But I strongly reccommend going to Colombia.  Forget the news, that is in just one part of the country.  Go to Cartagena and Parque Tayrona.  For cities, go to Bogota and Medellin.  Research on the internet for this 4 places in Colombia and you'll see amazing things.  Good Luck.
