  1. Rain chance very low!

Temps can be nippy in morning and evening.

Pack a sweater and long pants.

    Location & Climate

At the approximate geographic center of the state, the three-county Orlando area consists of 2,856 square miles. Orlando is situated approximately 150 miles from the Florida/Georgia border to the north, 50 miles from the Atlantic Coast to the east, 75 miles from the Gulf Coast to the west, and 370 miles from the Florida Keys at the southern tip of the state.

One of the area's biggest attractions is its year-round mild weather. Mid-Florida's subtropical climate has long been a strong drawing card for tourists and residents alike. At the heart of the "Sunshine State," the area's average annual temperature is a comfortable 72.4 degrees. Average annual rainfall amounts to over 50 inches per year, keeping Central Florida lush and green throughout the year. Prevailing winds are southerly at nine mph. The average elevation of the region is 127 feet above sea level.

  2. The temps can range quite a bit, so I always recommend that my clients bring shorts and tees for the day and jeans and sweatshirts in case it is cooler at night.  Florida does not get a ton of rain during December, but it is always a possibility, so please bring ponchos with you.  Better to be prepared and not need them, than to need them and not have them.

You biggest problem during those dates will not be mother nature, it will be the crowds.  That is the busiest season at Disney World.  Please make sure you have a good itinerary and set of touring plans.  Otherwise, you could end up spending hours and hours on line.  My service creates customized itineraries and touring plans, so if you need help with this aspect of your trip, we are here!  On average, we save our clients 3-6 hours a day of waiting in line and countless more hours spent on planning.  Our clients rarely wait more than 15 minutes for any ride even during the busy holiday season when you see lines that are over 90 minutes long.  If you visit the site, be sure to use my special Yahoo Answers discount code:  YA08.

  3. Weather at that time of year is all over the place, although heavy rains and thunderstorms are rare.  For example, on Xmas day itself, there's a 20% chance that the high will be below 60, 20% above 80, and 60% chance it will be in between.  Orlando averages about half an inch of rain a week during this period.

You can see addtional data on weather at Walt Disney world on this page on weather and when to go to WDW:  http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-...

  4. The temperature will range from 55 to about 70 degrees, expect a nice comfortable 65 degree for the majority of your trip.

As for the rain, it may, but its not the rainy season and don't worry about a hurricane t isn't likely to happen either. Have fun.

  5. Not much rain at all.  It's chilly in the mornings, warm in the afternoon and chilly in the evening.  Make sure to bring a jacket.

    Good luck and God bless.

  6. You really can never tell from one year to the next. One year it will be freezing and can get down into the 20's & 30's during the evenings and then other times you can be in shorts and tanks.

I would definitely pack a bit of both winter and summer clothing and most definitely would check weather.com or go to the local cities website and see what the weather is for-casted like over the next week or so.

  7. I've been to Florid a few times in the winter and have encountered everything from the 80's to the 50's. I would pack for every eventuality. You probably won't have alot af days warm enough to swim but  its possible. Take a jacket and jeans (we went on a water ride and had to go back to the room and change it was so cold) Have an awesome time, the decorations are wonderful throughout the park
