Has anyone got Sky phone and broadband, and are they happy with it? If your not happy what problems have you had?

I already have sky plus, so think the deal they are offering sounds really good. I use my internet all day, so need to be online non stop.

  1. I too am thinking of changing my provider from BT. I recently couldn't get on the internet for about one week. I still have to pay the full charges though. BT is rubbish.

  2. we did that deal and benefited with more chanels although the cost ended up about the same. the internet is pretty cool as they gave us a free wirless router, the internet is not super fast..although it is good enough to be happy with :)

  3. Beware of introductionary offers they may look cheaper than your current provider but reading the small print and you will see there is not much difference after the first year

  4. O2 broadband has an excellent offer at the moment for UNLIMITED highspeed downloads from just £7.50 per month with FREE connection, FREE customer services 24/7, FREE wireless box, FREE McAfee Security and many extras.... You need an O2 sim card to get a discount, I got a free pay-as-you-go sim card and registered online for quick connection or transfer... transfered in just 6 days.... check it out.....

This deal works out at only £90 over 1 year

o2 is the top rated broadband on www.broadband.org for overall service, speed & customer service

If you want sky tv as well... There are some good offers this month offering sky from £16 per month with free broadband.... get half price connection charge and discounts on certain packages when you order online.... checkout the offers here...

  5. yeah my internet is fine, and really fast, i have the free internet package so don't even have the 'fastest' one. Apparently it depends how far from the exchange you are. I would reccommend that you buy your router and wireless adapter from sky tho, as I bought one from currys or comet that said was compatible with netgear and i worked for a little while then went caput, so u may as well get one from net gear to begin with. I have the phone package too , free in the evenings and weekends and can't really decided whether it's saving me money but its definately not more expensive.

  6. BT are awful.  Expensive and with the worst xcustomer services Ive ever come across.  They recently cut my broadband off in error.  After they'd admitted the error it took them 6 weeks to reconnect and I spent over 27 hours being passed around their departments before I finally got anywhere.  Reading these answers with interest as I too want to switch.  After experience I've had I wouldn't even mind paying more for a better service.

  7. im disgusted with bt. i got my quarterly bill this morning and its £113 for line rental and broadband only. i never use the landline. such a rip off.

i'll be interested to read your answers as i will be cahnging suppliers soon. will also be looking into 'talk-talk' as they seem to have a good deal on at the moment.
