  1. if you are not on probation and paid your dues, you may travel, and you would not be in possession of your passport if you were on probation or parole

    have a good trip:

You have to watch out for the people on this site, if you say the slightest thing they can jump on the trolls come from the buroughs and insult you, because they are huge, gross Americans that are married with kids but they are doing eachother in the court houses. I reported the other two that were rude, they violated this website by not answering you fairly and insulting you. It takes two reports for them to get in trouble, so make sure you do it as well.

As far as the information you are looking for, I read a little about it and I think it depends on the country you are going to. You won't get stopped at DIA, if it happens it'll be when you land in Austria (which is stupid, why would they be looking for someone with a criminal past that isn't current?) Lots of people have them like Randi, April, etc. and it doesn't really seem to hinder them but at least you are being prepared here.

This is a public forum, and you, me and MJK know about the general population goes, which is so beautifully illustrated with the two answers above.

America has a lot of resources for traveling, so I found the Austrian Embassy's site for you. If anything, why don't you give them a call and get it all sorted out in advanced before your trip.

Another tip - all the answer boards have their own country's site, so you can dally over there and see if they have any info, I bet their will certainly be less vajadges on that board.

Or just flip open the phone book, call an immigration lawyer, and ask. They give away free information, you gotta pretend like you are looking into their services, but then you can just hang up, they're lawyers, so the ethics in that situation completely balance out...I do it all the time and you know how I feel about the Karma Bomb.

    Kisses.

  3. as stated      if not wanted   you  can  travel on your valid passport  any place you like   keep in mind    while on board  the airline  mandated by  homeland security  they have to  file a passenger list  to  DHS   FAA   they do a name check  against  know    suspects  of terrorism  and international want and warrants

  4. You were on parole and don't know how the spell it??  Are you going there to visit the birth place of Adolf?

I think all of our felons should be able to go to any country they want.  The mexicans do it all the time by emptying their prisons and giving them bus fare to El Paso

  5. No, as long as there is no warrant out for your arrest, you'll be fine.  If you were being sought after by the FBI, they would have circulated your name around the various security agencies like Interpol and then you'd be turned around or arrested.  Besides, you wouldn't even be able to get past the front desk at a US airport if you were wanted because they check your passport before you get on a plane.  They will not do a background check on you in Europe unless you are currently wanted for an offense.
